To courteously and professionally serve the taxing units of County by providing equal and uniform appraisals of all properties whereby efficient assessment and collections services will be performed on behalf of participating taxing units in compliance with the statutes of the Texas Property Tax Code.

ACCEPTING OR COLLECTING TAX PAYMENTS FOR THE PEARSALL ISD,
DILLEY ISD, AND THE CITY OF DILLEY STARTING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER
20, 2021.
THE OFFICE OF ANNAL. ALANIZ, FRIO COUNTY TAX
ASSESSOR/COLLECTOR LOCATED AT THE FRIO COUNTY COURTHOUSE,
500 E SAN ANTONIO STREET, PEARSALL, TEXAS 78061 WILL BE
COLLECTING THE ABOVE TAXES.
ANY ESCROW PAYMENTS OR TAX CERTIFICATES WILL BE MADE AT
THEIR OFFICE. TAXPAYERS WITH CURRENT CONTRACTS/PAYMENT
AGREEMENTS WITH THE FRIO COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT WILL NEED
TO CONTACT THE FRIO COUNTY TAX ASSESSOR/COLLECTOR AT
830.505.2994 FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

The Frio County Appraisal District appraises property for ad valorem taxation of these taxing authorities.
 
Frio County 
Dilley ISD 
Pearsall ISD 
City of Dilley 
City of Pearsall 
Evergreen UWCD 
Frio HD 
Frio County ESD 
 
 
The duties of the appraisal district include: 
 
  • The determination of market value of taxable property
  • The administration of exemptions and special valuations authorized by the local entities and the State of Texas
 
 
Tax rates and ultimately the amount of taxes levied on property are determined by governing bodies of each of the taxing authorities. 
Mineral, utility and industrial accounts are appraised for the district by Pritchard & Abbott, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas.
Real estate and personal property accounts are appraised locally by the district.
